A Little Bit of Home

My favorite kind of relationships are low maintenance. The ones where you can stick to your busy schedule without having to worry about a friend feeling forgotten or ignored. I can honestly say that I'm blessed to have this exact kind of friendship with Lynn of Neckbreakin' Style and Maia of The Petite Principle.

We met back in college. Lynn, my sophomore year while I was working at Aldo. Maia, during the worst class in Rutgers history - expository writing. *shivers* worst class ever. Little did I know  that 7 years later we would have this amazing friendship.  From breakups to college parties, women studies classes, figuring out our career paths and much much more - we have always been a support system for each other.

While they were here we hit McKinney Ave, Deep Ellum and Fort Worth.  We experienced an actual boot store (I bought my first pair) and went to Billy Bobs and danced the Texas 2Step for the first time ever.

Their visit was very much needed and they brought a little bit of home here to Texas. It's nice to look back and know that I have friends that have seen me at my worst and my best and still stand by me no matter what.

  1. Write more, thats all I have to say. Literally, it seems as though you relied on the video
to make your point. You obviously know what youre talking
about, why throw away your intelligence on just posting
videos to your blog when you could be giving us something enlightening to read?
