Parc Guell : Barcelona

Beautiful view of Barcelona from the top of Parc Guell

Barcelona was by far my favorite city in Europe.  I'm still dreaming about walking down Paseo de Gracia and taking a dip in the Mediterranean (sigh).  This memory is a nice escape for me, and one that I will be revisiting over and over.

Most of my time was spent laying lazily in the sun and visiting different beach bars on the search for the best freshly made smoothies and Paella. The other times, my mind was on Gaudí

It has been some time since Antoni Gaudí has passed, but his presence is everlasting in Barcelona.  After taking a tour at La Pedrera and learning about his life, I was obsessed.  What I love most about his work, his art, is that there's a synergy in between the architecture, religion and nature.  No matter what building, park or church you go to designed by Gaudí has elements of God and nature.  Curves that you would see in a rock formation, bone structures, wings - they are all incorporated into his work.

The pictures above where taken at Parc Guell, another Gaudí masterpiece.
It's located at the top of Barcelona so you can get this fantastic view.

Take a look at Gaudí's work and let me know what you think.

With Love,
